Marta Monaci is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Sapienza University of Rome, where she earned her PhD in Operations Research (MAT-09) in January 2024 and graduated in Management Engineering in October 2020. She belongs to the Department of Computer, Control and Management Engineering Antonio Ruberti (DIAG) at the Faculty of Information Engineering, Informatics and Statistics of Sapienza University of Rome.

Her research interests mainly focus on Mixed Integer Programming and the resolution of optimization problems in the field of Interpretable Machine Learning. From September 2022 to March 2023, she attended a research visiting period abroad at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark working on Optimal Decision Trees and Interpretability.
